Jesse STRONG, one of Parke County's oldest and most highly respected citizens died at his home north of Judson in Greene Township, shortly after 5 o'clock Monday evening from old age. Jesse Strong was born on land near Mt. Moriah, Union Township, entered by his father, December 31, 1831 and was 84. He resided with his sons, John and A.U. Strong on the farm near Judson. Besides the two sons, one daughter survives, Mrs. Mary F. DAY of Crawfordsville. Funeral services were held at the Guion church Wed. morning at 11. Mrs. JM Milligan of this place and Mrs. Murray Thomas of Omaha are granddaughters. -- kbz
